The Cité Agricole de Champigny was built in the last third of the 19th century. It was created by François Philibert Dessaignes between 1870 and 1897, comprises 38 individual apartments with outbuildings, and was designed to accommodate agricultural workers. Five types of houses were developed for the Cité Agricole, adapted to agricultural use and based on the longère model. The Musée Philibert Dessaignes is located on the first floor of the town hall of Champigny-en-Beauce.
