Pocé-Sur-Cisse: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of Saint Adrien in Pocé-sur-Cisse was built around 1535 by Adrien Tiercelin de Brosses, the king’s chamberlain, governor of Loches and lord of Pocé. It is named after Saint Adrien, who is considered a martyr of the Christian persecutions in the 4th century.

Culture and History

The Château de Pocé dates from the 15th century; its architecture was altered up until the 19th century. The Manoir du Ménard dates from the 16th century and was the residence of the regionalist writer Robert Morin.

Another historical trace is the statue of “Saint Eloi”. It bears an inscription stating that it was cast on 17 March 1844 at the Pocé foundry by Ducel and Viry. The Ducel metallurgical factory and later ornamental foundry in Pocé-sur-Cisse specialised in casting works of art.

In the immediate vicinity of Pocé-sur-Cisse are the Parc Honoré-de-Balzac, the historic site of the Prieuré de Moncé and the historic site of Château d'Amboise. In the surrounding area of Pocé-sur-Cisse is the Château de Cangey. The Parc Honoré-de-Balzac is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Pocé-sur-Cisse.

Nature and Trails

The grounds of the Château de Pocé offer a peaceful setting for walks. The “Cycl’eau Trésor” circular route covers 14.5 kilometres. Pocé-sur-Cisse also has numerous troglodyte dwellings built into hillsides.

The 24th edition of the “Marché des Potiers” was announced for 4 and 5 July 2026 in Pocé-sur-Cisse.
