The historic Château de Tanlay is located in the vicinity of Tanlay and is considered one of the outstanding examples of Renaissance architecture in Burgundy. The permanent, signposted Tanlay hiking trail offers two routes of 16 and 29 km, starting in the village of Tanlay. The “Tanlay et son château” route follows the towpath along the canal to the lock at the Moulin de Saint-Vinnemer.
The Base de Loisirs l’Haliotis in Tanlay offers boat trips lasting between one and one and a half hours. The Base de Loisirs l’Haliotis also offers bicycles and Rosalies, allowing visitors to follow the canal from Tanlay.
