Cornant: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Cornant reveals its cultural side especially where art and landscape come together: Since 2022, Le Ruban Vert has organised “Les Chemins d’artistes” every two years as an open-air museum featuring works by more than 20 artists along an 8-kilometre hiking trail. Culture and history

Cornant’s church contains a gravestone dating from 1565. The choir and chancel appear to feature architectural forms from the 13th century. The surrounding area of Cornant is also home to the Musées de Sens museum, the Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Sens historical site, the Abbaye de Saint-Jean-lès-Sens historical site and the Ancienne Abbaye Saint-Pierre-le-Vif historical site.

Wine and village life

The Les Vignes des Grémys association planted 1,200 organically farmed Chardonnay vines in 2016. It revived winegrowing in Cornant after it had disappeared locally. The association organises meals and gatherings centred around winegrowing and wine, for example in November. Les Vignes des Grémys serves the wine produced at an event day in the village.

Landscape and trails

From Cornant, there is a view over a wide section of the Yonne Valley between Sens and Villeneuve-le-Roi. The Haut des Beautés hill is located in the wider regional surroundings of Cornant.
