Culture and History
Château de Châtres is a 17th-century château in Champcevrais and is partly protected as a listed historic monument. It is privately owned.
The protected elements of Château de Châtres include the façades and roofs of the château and its outbuildings, the moats, the park with its architectural features, two basins, and a so-called chapel pavilion; the listing was established by decree dated September 16, 1985.
The Église Saint-Germain in Champcevrais has a rectangular layout with a nave of two bays and a long choir of three bays. The church contains around ten polychrome wooden statues characteristic of local folk art.
