The former Notre-Dame de Maizières Abbey is a Cistercian abbey. On its western side, it is bordered by the Sentier des Moines.
The church of Saint-Loup-Géanges was built between the middle of the 12th and the middle of the 13th century. The choir, transept and bell tower date from the second half of the 12th century. The capitals of the choir and transept combine Romanesque and Gothic influences. The church was founded by Béatrice de Réon.
The Feast of Saint Roch on 16 August includes a patronal festival and a procession at the church of Saint-Loup et Saint-Roch.

The Hameau des Quarante Arpents is located amid vineyards, pastures and orchards on the edge of the pond and the 650-hectare Maizières Forest.
