History
The Étang de Parisenot is separated from the Canal du Centre by a dam and supplies the canal via a lock. The former Étang de Parisenot served as a port for the wines of the Côte Chalonnaise, which arrived via the route from Montchanin. The lock site of La Favée on the Canal du Centre includes a lock chamber. The isolated road bridge at Parisenot was built in 1789–1790.
