The Plan d'eau du Fourneau covers 8.5 hectares and is managed by Palinges’s angling club, La Gaule Palingeoise. No-kill rules apply when fishing for black bass and carp in the waters; every carp caught must be returned to the water immediately after being caught.
At the Plan d'eau du Fourneau, members of the authorised AAPPMA angling associations of Saône-et-Loire, as well as all anglers with a fishing licence and the CHI, EHGO or URNE stamps, may fish.
Culture and History
The Musée des Arts et Traditions populaires is located in the heart of the village of Palinges. It presents the local cultural heritage from the Stone Age to the 20th century.
The main construction phase of the Église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption dates from the 12th century.
The octagonal bell tower and the choir date from the 12th century and have been listed as historic monuments since 19 November 1976.
In the 19th century, Palinges was an important centre of ceramic production.
Digoine is classified as a historic monument and bears the “Jardin Remarquable” designation. The Château de Digoine and its gardens are among the finest examples of 18th-century architecture and landscape design.

The Paray-le-Monial cycling tour, Route No. 8, leads to the Château de Digoine in Palinges.
