Montmelard: Holiday apartments and houses

The GR7, which connects the Vosges with the Pyrenees, runs through Montmelard. The landscape is also home to Mont Saint-Cyr: at 771 metres, it is the highest peak in southern Burgundy.

The Circuit des Digitales is a 12-kilometre circular route. Étang de Millade is a private, 10-hectare fishing pond in Montmelard. Fishing at Étang de Millade is permitted with a fishing licence.

Culture and history

The present-day church of Montmelard was built between 1871 and 1873. The former church of Montmelard was Romanesque and remained standing until 1870. Château de Vigousset was restored in 1887, while Château de Villars dates from the 15th and 16th centuries.

Moulin de Vigousset probably has its origins in the feudal era. Its history is linked to that of the neighbouring château.
