Grury: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Château de Montperroux is located in Grury, in the Saône-et-Loire department. It was probably built at the end of the 12th century, remodelled in the 16th century, and designed as a medieval polygonal fortified structure with towers.

Culture and History

The main residential wing of the Château de Montperroux was built around 1580. The surviving Renaissance interiors include French ceilings, a staircase with opposing flights, and monumental, richly decorated fireplaces.

On 17 July 2014, the Château de Montperroux was fully listed as a historic monument. The listing also includes the south-western corner pavilion and the grounds of the building as an archaeological reserve.
