Saint-Brisson: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
The Maison des hommes et des paysages in the heart of the Maison du Parc opens the tour “Morvan, une histoire d’échanges et de migrations”. It presents the landscapes of the Morvan through the history of the exchanges and migrations that have shaped the area. The Maison des Hommes et des Paysages also traces the history of the people of the Morvan from prehistoric times to the present, including the migrations and the people who were welcomed in the Morvan.
The local knowledge presented there includes hedge management, dry-stone wall construction and old varieties of grain. The Musée de la Résistance en Morvan is also located in Saint-Brisson, at the Maison du Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan. In three rooms, it presents numerous objects, archival documents, equipment, photographs and weapons relating to the Occupation, the Resistance, the Liberation and remembrance. At the same time, the museum explains the role and significance of the Resistance in the region during the Second World War.

Nature
The Boucle du dolmen Chevresse passes through open meadows and hamlets around Saint-Brisson. It begins and ends at the Maison du Parc visitor car park by the horse statue. The Étang Taureau is integrated into the Réserve naturelle régionale des tourbières du Morvan.
At the pond, the Sentier de découverte de l'étang Taureau features 13 information panels about the history and the wildlife and plant life of the Étang Taureau. The discovery trail is one kilometre long, runs across footbridges and leads to the far end of the Étang Taureau. Near the Sentier de découverte de l'étang Taureau, at the Maison du Parc, there is a Parcours sensoriel where visitors can experience barefoot installations that stimulate the five senses.
The Herbularium at the Maison du Parc helps visitors identify wild plants and learn about their properties.
Local
The Bistrot du Parc serves food and drinks based on local and seasonal produce, predominantly organic.
