Mont-et-Marré: Holiday Apartments and Houses
The official tourist hiking trail “Mont-et-Marré au fil de l’eau” is 16.7 km long, runs between the canal and the bocage landscape, and is intended to showcase the structures of the Canal du Nivernais. Trails and Water

Culture and History
The Orgues 1 lock keeper’s house was built in 1826. The Orgues 2 lock complex is located in Mont-et-Marré in pound section 12 on the Loire side of the Canal du Nivernais.
The Orgues 2 lock complex includes a rubble-stone lock chamber, a lock keeper’s house on the left bank, and a well with a pulley.
The lock keeper’s house of the Mont-et-Marré double lock appears to have been built in 1790. The Mont-et-Marré double lock downstream from Marré bears the numbers 9 and 10 on the Loire side; it consists of two lock chambers that enable boats to overcome a considerable difference in elevation.
Seven washhouses have been restored in Mont-et-Marré. The Église Saint-André is a sight worth seeing in Mont-et-Marré.
