Culture and History
Part of the Bibracte oppidum is located in the municipality of Larochemillay. The Église Saint-Pierre is also one of the town’s defining cultural monuments: it was built in 1869–1870 by Anatole de Baudot and decorated by artists from the Société Saint-Grégoire de Tours.
Since 13 July 2022, the Église Saint-Pierre has been protected in its entirety as a historic monument. The Musée de l'Outil ancien et Art populaire is located in one of the oldest houses in Larochemillay. This house was formerly an outpost of the castle.
The Musée des Outils et des Traditions displays around 5,000 old tools in a thematic exhibition about forgotten crafts and obsolete methods.
The Château du Mousseau is a castle in the immediate vicinity of Larochemillay. Three ancient sites are also located around Larochemillay: the ancient site “Bibracte, Mont-Beuvray. Les Grandes Portes”, the ancient site “Bibracte, Mont-Beuvray. La chapelle Saint-Martin” and the ancient site “Bibracte, Mont-Beuvray. La Chaume”.

Trails
The Way of St. James from Vézelay passes through Larochemillay via the Place de l'Église. Another route is the circular trail around Mont Touleur: it climbs to Mont Touleur, which reaches 582 m, and circles around it.
Nature and Surroundings
Mont Genièvre is a named mountain feature in the area around Larochemillay. Mont Preneley, another named mountain feature, is also located nearby.
In the wider regional area around Larochemillay are Mont Tharot, a named hill feature, and Dardon, another named hill feature.
