In the centre of Lanty stands the Fontaine de la Bonne Dame, a devotional fountain beneath a small vaulted structure. It houses a statue of the Virgin Mary in a blue-painted niche and has a basin that collects the spring water.

Culture and history

The Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité church in Lanty is a Romanesque building dating from the 12th century. Its bell dates from 1702, is 47 cm high, has a diameter of 58 cm, is made of bronze and iron, and bears bas-reliefs depicting biblical and holy figures, including Christ on the cross, the Virgin and Child, Saint-Abdon and Saint-Sennen.

The altar of the Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité church, made entirely of wood, was classified as a historic monument in 1962.

Lanty's information board is located in the courtyard of the town hall. It can be viewed free of charge at any time as part of a self-guided visit.

The Les vallons du Morvan circular trail runs from Rémilly to Lanty, is 13 kilometres long, has 258 metres of elevation gain, and is rated as moderately difficult.
