Culture
The parish church of Saint-Philibert dates back to the 12th century. It contains an 18th-century silver chalice classified as a protected object, a painting entitled “Le Pèlerinage de saint Philibert” or “Saint Philibert bénissant la fontaine”, and a polychrome limestone statue of the Virgin and Child.
History
The Fontaine des Pèlerins is located southeast of the parish church of Saint-Philibert. The Saint-Philibert spring supplies a communal washhouse. The Saint-Philibert fountain is traditionally known as the “Fontaine des Pèlerins”; the name is associated with a pilgrimage tradition. The former hospital of Saint-Philibert was built by the Knights of Malta next to the spring. A preserved door is a remnant of the former hospital of Saint-Philibert.
