Culture

The Church of Saint-Marcel has a bell dating from 1565, which was classified as a Monument historique in 1943. A sundial made of Corton marble was installed on its south wall in 2000. The sundial is bifilar and has orthogonally arranged wires. There are only a few examples of this type of sundial in France. Saint-Marcel is considered the patron saint of Marcheseuil.

Nature

The Montagne de Bard is a limestone summit approximately 555 metres high. The limestone summit is shared by the three municipalities of Bard-le-Régulier, Manlay and Marcheseuil. The summit of the Montagne de Bard offers panoramic views of the Auxois and Morvan regions. The Belvedere of Peace, with an orientation table and four commemorative steles, is located at the summit.

The 12.5 km-long Buan–Maison Forestière route is listed as a hiking route in the Pays Arnay-Liernais.
