Bulat-Pestivien: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Bulat-Pestivien features a wild landscape with small winding roads and numerous granite boulders. Churches, springs, historic traces and signposted trails give the place a multifaceted character.

Landscape and trails

The Circuit Penn Stivien begins in the car park in front of Bulat-Pestivien town hall. The yellow-marked circular trail is 20.6 km long, classified as difficult and listed as taking five hours to walk. The Circuit des Brigands in Bulat-Pestivien is an 11 km off-road route for trail runners and experienced hikers.

Coat Gouredenn includes a small woodland, a pond and a 14th- or 15th-century mill. The Coatgoureden mill is also the last surviving evidence of the seigneurial estate of the same name.

Churches and historic traces

The Notre-Dame Church of Bulat-Pestivien was built around 1463. The Notre-Dame sanctuary was one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Brittany. The church has a 66 m-high spire, the highest in the Côtes-d’Armor département.

The Chapelle Saint-Blaise was formerly the parish church of Pestivien; it dates back to 1525 and was rebuilt in 1775.

The Fontaine du Coq is a devotional spring in Bulat-Pestivien and is classified as a historic monument. The Fontaine des 7 Saints is a spring dating from 1683 that is part of the cultural heritage.

Culture and tradition

The Musée des Manoirs displays 60 scale models, the same number of explanatory panels, facsimiles of historic documents and interactive elements.

The Pardon de Notre-Dame-de-Bulat took place on the weekend after 8 September. The Bulat horse fair took place on the Monday of the Pardon.
