The Château Morand was equipped with fortification walls. An archivolt from the 9th century is still preserved from the former Carolingian church in Courpière.

The weekly market in Courpière still takes place every Tuesday. The Foire de la Saint Martin takes place on the third Tuesday in November.

Paths and landscape

La Plaine de la Dore is a 12-kilometre loop marked for VTT-FFCT. The La Plaine de la Dore route leads to the Tour du Maure and passes close to the étang de la Fontaine Salée.

The Tour du Maure is a restored historic monument and offers a viewpoint over Courpière and the surrounding area.

The Courpière tourist information office is located in the old town in a 14th-century building. It assists visitors throughout the year, both before and during their stay.
