Culture
The Musée de la Résistance, de l’Internement et de la Déportation explores the history of the Second World War from a local, national and international perspective. The Espace muséal Victor Charreton presents 32 paintings inspired by Impressionism in four collections arranged according to the seasons.
The Église Notre-Dame in Chamalières dates from the late 10th century. It has been classified as a Monument historique since 1840.
The Château de Montjoly is a neoclassical manor house dating from the 18th century.
Nature
Parc Bargoin preserves more than 7 hectares with 800 trees from 60 different species, including centuries-old sequoias, cedars of Lebanon and ginkgo trees. The park is designed in the style of an English landscape garden.
Parc Montjoly includes an ecological and botanical garden. Parc Montjoly is open to the public.
Activities
The Sentier du Colombier is a discovery trail through the forest, with panoramic views and information boards about the fauna, flora and history of Chamalières.
The Centre aquatique Les Hautes-Roches offers an Olympic-size swimming pool, a wave pool, a water slide, a solarium and outdoor water features. The materials required for the École de Dentelle courses are available on site.
