In Saint-Romain-Lachalm, Romanesque origins, a château expanded over the course of several centuries and trails with different themes come together. L’Église has Romanesque origins dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. The southern and northern aisles, as well as the south portal, were added in the 14th and 15th centuries. The current bell tower dates from the 17th century; its upper section was rebuilt after the French Revolution.

Culture
The Château de Saint-Romain-Lachalm began as a fortified house from the 12th century and was expanded over time into a château. The park and several interior rooms are listed as Monuments Historiques. The château is visited as part of guided tours; advance reservation is required.
Le Calvaire was erected on the occasion of the Clovis jubilee in 1896 and blessed the following year.
Nature
The themed trail Circuit thématique utilisons les bois is a 1-hour-and-15-minute discovery walk focusing on the different uses of wood. It features explanatory and interactive panels and can be followed independently and free of charge all year round.
Another discovery route is the Tour d’horizons. It starts at the Mairie car park, is 7 kilometres long and takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Local Life
The Marché de producteurs de Pays brings together more than 25 local producers at a market dedicated entirely to regional products. There is a different entertainment programme at each market evening, such as music, demonstrations with sheepdogs, shows, cooking demonstrations or handicrafts. Visitors can put together a menu on site, cook it under cover on a plancha and enjoy it.
