The BR®-13 trail runs along the Moulin du Teil pond on a small paved path. The landscaped footpath around the Moulin du Teil pond is 1.7 kilometres long. The grounds around the pond include a fishing pond; the site also has a children's playground.

The Lascombes-Basses hiking route starts at the car park at the Moulin du Teil pond and offers views of Le Rouget and the Cantal Mountains to the northeast. The Circuit du Lac route starts at the car park at the Moulin du Teil pond.

The Ronde en Ségala mountain biking route starts in Le Rouget at the Moulin du Teil pond. The first section of the Ronde en Ségala route offers views of Le Rouget and the Cantal Mountains.

Leisure

The Piscine du Rouget swimming pool offers aqua aerobics classes without registration on Tuesdays and Fridays from 19:15 to 20:00. The swimming pool also offers swimming lessons; interested parties should contact the lifeguard directly.

Culture

The Sainte-Thérèse Church was built in the mid-20th century and solemnly consecrated in 1962. It has stained-glass windows inspired by the language of flowers, created by the local artist Jean Labellie.

Local life

The weekly market in Le Rouget takes place every Sunday throughout the year. The market is held at Place de la Mairie in Le Rouget-Pers; cheese and other food products are sold.
