The Circuit VTT – Au cœur des châtaigniers begins in Calvinet at the village square by the church. It is a 35 km marked circular route with 690 m of ascent and a difficult level of difficulty. The Sentier des Puys is a 12.1 km, yellow-marked hiking trail of moderate difficulty starting from Calvinet. It has a stated duration of 3 hours 15 minutes and 280 m of ascent.

Nature

At Étang d'Estanquiol, swimming in a natural setting is possible, subject to favourable bathing conditions. In summer, first-category fishing for coarse fish is also possible there, subject to favourable fishing conditions.

From Calvinet, Puy Capel offers views of the plateaus of Aubrac and Aveyron; an orientation board and a chapel are located there. Puy Capel is crossed by the Chemin du Carladès. From Étang d'Estanquiol, it can be reached on foot via the path.

Calvinet's nature campsite has several pitches and a sanitary building near the football field.

Culture and history

Château de Lamothe is located on the D66 departmental road between Calvinet and Cassaniouze, around 2 km from Calvinet. It is listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments.

The Church of Saint Bartholomew was built in the 14th century. It has a simple appearance and a bell tower covered with slate tiles. The republican fountain on Place Jean de Bonnefon is crowned by a statue of Liberty, inaugurated in 1908.

The Chapelle de Rampon is also locally known as the "chapelle des amoureux". In 1881, it was built in the form of a chestnut-drying shed (sécadou) by a mason from Calvinet on land belonging to the municipality of Calvinet.

The old fountain on Rue du Pavé is being restored. The washhouse at l’Estanquiol is being upgraded.
