History

The Roche Hubert was the subject of archaeological excavations. These confirmed the presence of a modest building that probably served as a refuge during troubled times in the Middle Ages. Weapons found at the Roche Hubert date from the late 14th century and were manufactured in England.

In Antignac, the Maison de la Minéralogie du Massif-Central is a small private museum dedicated to the diversity and variety of minerals in the Massif Central. Its collection comprises around 1,000 specimens, most of which were discovered by the founder. The Maison de la Minéralogie du Massif-Central also offers field activities providing an introduction to mineralogy and local geology.
