The Maison de l’Artisanat is a handicrafts shop offering delicatessen products and cosmetics. It showcases products from more than 80 local craftspeople or producers. From May to June, monthly exhibitions by local artists take place on the second floor.

History

The present-day Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste was built from 1890 to 1896 on the site of an older structure.

Nature

The Plan d'eau de St Clément is located in the hamlet of La Cartonnée in Le Mayet-de-Montagne. It includes a lake covering approximately 27 hectares, with a diverse range of animal and plant life.

Traditions

The Foire aux Paniers has been held every year on the third Sunday in August for more than 50 years. It is a market that highlights basketry as well as local and regional handicrafts. Refreshments are available on site during the event; in the afternoon, it also features several street performances.
