Culture
The Galtzada is a medieval stone path that crosses Sare from north to south. Today, it serves as a recreational trail from which numerous hikes begin. The Église Saint-Martin is located on the Way of St. James.

The “Autour de Sare” route is a 9 km moderate circular hike from Sare, with a walking time of 3 hours.
At the Col de Lizarrieta, there is a 2.9 km out-and-back trail through the forest and to the mines. It takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk, and there are eight information panels along the route. Also at the Col de Lizarrieta, a 9 km circular trail for palombe hunting runs past seven information panels and takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to walk. The Circuit des palombières / Usategietako itzulia leads to palombières built in trees and characteristic stone towers used as observation posts for net hunting pigeons.
Nature
Lezeko Gaina lies at the foot of the Massif de l’Axuria and combines a great diversity of remarkable natural habitats with numerous protected species. The hike at Lezeko Gaina passes through heathland and cooler wooded valleys. The route can continue to the summit of Atxuria, whose steep ridges serve as resting places for vultures.
