The “Fil vert escargot d'Escassefort” leads to notable places in the village. History
The current Neo-Gothic bell tower of the Sainte-Marcianne church in Escassefort is crowned by a spire and dates from 1880. Sainte Marcianne in Escassefort is listed as a station on a diocesan pastoral programme.
At the Remparts d'Escassefort, the substantial substructures of a fortification with heavy rectangular buttresses can still be clearly seen around the central village centre and the church.
