History

The parish church of Saint-Julien stands on a feudal motte surrounded by ditches. It is the only surviving evidence of the Barony of Saint-Julien, which was already documented in the 12th century.

A castle stood on the feudal motte and was built around 1445 by the House of Armagnac. In 1572, Protestant troops led by the captains Baudignan and Thoiras burned it down; only a few foundations of the castle remain.

The parish church has a triangular bell gable with bells and a fortified bell louver.
