The Boucle de la Séguinie is a 5.2-kilometre circular trail through woodland paths, parks and residential areas. In addition, Rando’Tresses offers hiking and Nordic walking activities for adult beginners and experienced participants every year from the beginning of September to the end of June.
Countryside and Parks
The Boucle des Parcs follows the Rouille Pétrus Laroche stream and crosses the Desclaud via a wooden bridge into the Parc de la Séguinie. The circular trail is 7.6 kilometres long, is located in Tresses and has been included in the Gironde’s French hiking trail plan, the PDIPR. In the Parc de la Séguinie, sheep graze as part of an ecological grazing programme. Parc Marès highlights a spring, an old orchard, a noria used to supply the house with drinking water, the west wind and a hornbeam hill as points of special interest; it was opened to the public in 2019. Every September, Parc Marès also hosts the family-oriented Culture BazAar festival.
Culture and Wine
The Boucle de Jolibois combines country roads with paths through the rural surroundings, passes the Church of Saint-Pierre, starts at the car park opposite Tresses Town Hall and is signposted. It also passes the entrance to Château de Lisennes. Château de Lisennes is a winery with origins dating back to the 15th century; throughout the year, it opens its winery for tours and offers tastings of its various cuvées. The Church of Saint-Pierre dates from the 13th century, although its spire was built in the 19th century. The church’s fortified 12th-century bell tower is classified as a monument historique.
