The municipal forest of Sainte-Hélène is located in the natural region of Plateau Landais, on the extensive «sables des Landes» plateau. The Étang de la Levade borders the forest. The pond is one of the locally visited places in the Sainte-Hélène forest area.
The natural area also includes the Sainte-Hélène fitness trail: it is surrounded by oak trees and remains shaded in very hot weather.
Culture
The Foire de la Sainte-Croix was founded in 1770 and takes place every year on the third weekend of September. A Gallo-Roman stone is kept in the Église Sainte-Hélène.
The Villa Quand Même et Mépris received the «Architecture Contemporaine Remarquable» label in 2015.
Getting Around
The Bordeaux–Lacanau cycle route passes through Sainte-Hélène. On this route, Sainte-Hélène is reached at kilometre 34; the route then turns left and runs along the road to Saumos.

A weekly market with local producers takes place in Sainte-Hélène on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Place de la Boucherie, 11 route de l'Océan.
