Nature
The Parempuyre marshes extend across almost 1,000 hectares and cover around half of the town’s area. The wet meadows of the Bordeaux marshes near Parempuyre are part of the Parc des Jalles.

Since 2021, a programme of more than 150 free events on nature, agriculture and cultural heritage has been offered every year for the Parc des Jalles. Trails and activities
There is a fitness trail in the Bois d’Arboudeau; this is where the Boucle verte begins. It leads to natural areas along the Jalle d’Aiguelongue, past the Arboudeau gravel pits and to a viewpoint over the marshes on Rue d’Olives.
Culture and history
The Château de Parempuyre is a wine estate whose main construction phase dates back to 1881. It has been listed as a historic monument since 16 June 2000.
The Port de Lagrange was established in 1681 and became one of France’s first oil ports in 1875. Although no longer active today, the Port de Lagrange preserves small lanes, houses and fishermen’s cottages in Parempuyre.

The Cité du Vin museum, the Musée des beaux-arts, the Musee d'Aquitane and the Musee d'Ethnographie are located in the vicinity of Parempuyre. The Île des Vaches, Île d’Ambès, Île de Croute and Île de Macau are also nearby.
