The Phare de Patiras lighthouse was built under Napoleon III pursuant to a decree dated 24 March 1860. Saint-Androny Church houses a 17th-century painting depicting Saint Bartholomew the Martyr, who was Archbishop of Braga in Portugal in the 16th century.
