Le Pian-Médoc: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Golf

The Golf du Médoc Resort is located on Chemin de Courmateau in Le Pian-Médoc. The Vignes golf course was designed by Rod Whitman; many holes are lined with heather, gorse, juniper bushes, heathland and tall maritime pines. The Châteaux golf course was created in 1987 to a design by Bill Coore and features sandy soils, heather-lined bunkers, and fast, firm fairways.

Things to Do

The Boucle des Pins is an 11.8-kilometre route in Le Pian-Médoc that can be used on foot or by bicycle. It passes through a wooded and protected area. The forest consists mainly of pine trees, as well as chestnut trees, oaks, bird cherry trees and cork oaks.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Seurin was built in the 12th century in the characteristic Romanesque style. Its nave was added in 1843, and its bell was cast in 1780.

The Cité du Vin, the Musée des beaux-arts, Île de Macau, Île d’Ambès and Île des Vaches are located in the vicinity of Le Pian-Médoc. In the wider regional area are the Musee d'Aquitane, the Musee d'Ethnographie and the Grotte de Pair-non-Pair.

Château Malleret covers 350 hectares, is surrounded by an arboretum and is situated on a small hill above the Jalle du Pian-Médoc. Château Malleret is a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel and opens its doors to wine lovers.
