The Carcans Océan resort has 8 km of beach. It also features a coastal landscape where the sea, wind and shifting dunes interact directly.
Coast and Nature
The Dune domaniale de Carcans is a fragile, mobile and changing coastal landscape shaped by the sea and wind. The coastal dunes provide habitats for fauna and flora that should be preserved. The Plage Centrale and Plage Sud beaches are located near Carcans-Plage.
The baïnes along the coast of Carcans-Océan are considered dangerous and sometimes fatal.
