Wine and Culture

The tour of Château Siran includes a collection of more than 300 art and archaeological objects related to wine. The visitor experience also includes a tour of an atomic bunker that has housed the wine library since 1912.

The Marais de Labarde is a floodable forest on peatland. It offers walking trails, a car park for easier access, a pond and a fitness trail. The Marais de Labarde is also part of the Route de l’Estuaire.

The Boucle des palombes is an easy 5.3-kilometre circular trail that takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. It passes through the Marais de Labarde and a riverside forest with diverse flora and fauna. Along the Boucle des palombes, hikers can see two hunting huts known as palombières.

Church and History

The Church of Saint Martin in Labarde was built in the 18th century on the medieval foundations of the chapels of La Naude and completed in 1732.

The Church of Saint Martin contains a stone Pietà that was classified on 7 May 1971. The large painting of Saint Martin dates from the 18th century and was classified on 1 June 1910.
