Villenave-Dʼornon: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Parc Sourreil is home to around 30 species of trees and shrubs across seven hectares of wooded grounds in Villenave-d'Ornon. The site is also home to the Maison des arts vivants, housed in former converted stables; today, it is a space for artistic expression and performances.

Nature

Several hectares of sensitive natural areas stretch along the Vallée de l'Eau Blanche. There are two signposted trails, each 1.5 km long. Information boards and markings along the trails allow visitors to explore them independently. In addition to freely exploring the walking trails, guided tours are also available.

Parc Sallegourde has a shaded jogging track and a recently renovated fitness trail. Thematic information boards there provide information about bird migration, bees, butterflies and mammals.

Culture

The Église Saint-Martin has major construction phases dating from the 11th and 18th centuries. It is partly classified as a French historic monument and partly listed as such: the apse was classified on 12 October 1920, while the church, with the exception of the classified apse, was listed on 21 December 1925.

The aqueduct site in Sarcignan showcases various aqueduct construction methods: underground and above ground, as well as on a wall or an arch.

Wine

In the 1959 classification, Château Couhins was elevated to Grand Cru Classé de Graves status.
