Events

The Foire de la Saint-Fort takes place every year in mid-May and has a history spanning more than 140 years. It includes a market featuring regional produce.

The Parc de Bômale, which covers more than 4 hectares, is located in the centre of the town and is open to the public. It hosts the Musik à Pile festival, dedicated to contemporary music. The 28th edition was announced for 5 and 6 June 2026.

The Chartreuse de Bomale is a 16th-century residence on the banks of the Isle. The restored Chartreuse, together with its garden pavilion and contemporary media library, forms a cultural venue.

The Étangs des Chèvres are a former extraction site that has been restored to nature. Paths around the Étangs allow walks through a preserved landscape with bodies of water, meadows and hedgerows; the Étangs also offer an opportunity for fishing.

Geographical location

The suspension bridge between Saint-Denis-de-Pile and Bonzac was closed in 2024 for safety reasons.
