The Église Saint-Pierre was completely demolished and rebuilt between 1844 and 1846. Its bell tower was listed as a monument historique in 1846.

The traditional market in Gaillan takes place every Sunday morning. The Bibliothèque de Gaillan provides access to 2,648 documents as well as free membership. It also offers cultural activities throughout the year in cooperation with Biblio.gironde, the public reading network and local organizations.
