Culture

The stone cemetery cross of Bonzac is part of the village's character. It dates from the 16th century and was classified as a historic monument by decree of 9 September 1905. Its shaft is decorated with pinnacles and figures in bas-relief. The cross stands opposite the west portal of the Church of Saint-Genès.

The grave of Duke Élie Decazes is also located in the Bonzac cemetery. Élie Decazes was a minister under Louis XVIII. The Place de la Mairie is located at a former windmill.

Hiking

La Boucle des châteaux is an approximately 6-kilometre circular hiking trail in Bonzac. The trail passes seventeen educational stations that present Bonzac's municipal cultural heritage. It begins at the information board in front of Bonzac Town Hall.

Wine and Local History

Wines from the AOC Bordeaux and Bordeaux supérieur appellations are produced in Bonzac; direct sales take place at the winery.
