Culture and History

The Église Saint-Timothée is located in Paussac-et-Saint-Vivien. It was classified as a Monument historique by decree of 4 September 1902. It was built with domes in the second half of the 12th century and extended to the east by a choir bay beneath a dome.

The dovecote of Paussac-et-Saint-Vivien is a round building. A projecting stone frieze runs around two-thirds of its height; the sculpted gable contains a roof hatch.

The village of Vieux Breuil, built partly into the rock, comprises quarry workers’ houses that probably date from the 12th or 13th century and are partly built against rock faces.
