Bitschhoffen is situated in the hills of the Moder. The Saint-Maurice Church dates from 1952 and replaced the older church building, which was destroyed by the effects of war.

Culture
Saint-Maurice is dedicated to Saint Maurice and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The church has a single-nave layout with five bays, ending in a flat chancel.
The traditional costume worn by women in Bitschhoffen is part of the local tradition. It differs from the customary Alsatian costume in the fabric used for the head covering, which is reminiscent of Scottish patterns.

The mountains Le Blohn, Immenkopf, Michelskopf and Buchwalderkopf are located in the area surrounding Bitschhoffen.

History
During the time of the Holy Roman Empire, Bitschhoffen was an imperial village and was directly subordinate to the emperor. After the conquest of Alsace by France, Bitschhoffen became a royal village. La Walck was an annex of Bitschhoffen until the mid-19th century.
Events
A parade of floats was planned for Nochmessti 2025 in Bitschhoffen. An evening featuring Hari owe, or marinated herring, was also planned.
