Paluküla Hiiemägi is 106.4 metres above sea level and is the highest point in western Estonia. Keava Linnamägi has very steep slopes and a flat surface. Approximately 40 kilometres of the Oandu–Aegviidu–Ikla hiking trail runs through Kehtna Parish.

The cultural history also includes several historic sites. Kehtna Manor was founded in the 15th century by the von Vietinghoff family. The Kõnnumaa Landscape Protection Area encompasses the old Keava hillfort and the areas of the prehistoric settlement of Linnaaluste; both are protected monuments. Keava Linnamägi is a chapel hillfort protected by ramparts and ditches. It is believed that Keava linnus was one of the larger centres in Estonia during the Viking Age and was conquered in 1054 by Grand Prince Iziaslav of Novgorod.
