For a longer hike between two places, the signposted Grejsdalstien is a good option. The trail is 16 kilometres long and runs between Vejle and Jelling. On foot, the route takes around three to five hours. For this route, travellers can use the train or bus between Vejle and Jelling. This allows you to structure the day differently from a circular route: You can view the trail as a connection between the two places and plan the return journey by public transport.

Vejle Fjord is characterised by calm waters and wooded beech-covered slopes that reach up to 80 metres in places. Those who would like to experience the landscape without taking a long route can choose the self-guided city walk at Vejle harbour and fjord. It leads through the harbour and fjord district and is around 5.8 kilometres long.

The beaches at Tirsbæk, Ulbækhus and Daugård are also possible destinations for excursions on Vejle Fjord. They offer areas for relaxing, inviting bathing water and magnificent views. Art, industrial history and knowledge
