Jordrup Parish combines special nature experiences with trails for hikers and cyclists. Skærsø: bathing lake, heath pond and nature area

Hiking at Truds Å

The river valley near Truds Å also reveals another side of the surrounding area. Here, you can hike across flowering nutrient-poor grasslands and along steep slopes. In the hilly landscape around Truds Å, you can also observe wild horses and beautiful wildflowers. Those who prefer a shorter and easier route will find the 1.5 km circular trail in the western area within the enclosure. This specific distance helps with planning the day, while the longer trails in the valley leave room for more extensive exploration of the landscape.

Jordrup as a destination for cycling tours

The regional Middelalderruten R35 runs through Jordrup. Starting from Hærvejen, the route follows small paved country roads and forest tracks. Jordrup Church, Borgergade 11, 6064 Egtved, is mentioned as a possible starting point for the Middelalderruten. Another option is the Troldhede railway – Regional Route 62. It runs from Ferup further north via small roads to Jordrup and Knudsbøl, and along a gravel track through Egtved Ådal and Tågelund Plantation.

The two routes appeal to different preferences: on the R35, small paved roads alternate with forest tracks, while Regional Route 62 additionally includes a gravel track through the valley and plantation.
