Today, Tinglev Mose is a wetland rich in wildlife and consequently a defining part of the town.

A 5 km marked hiking trail runs through the wetland landscape. Around 600 metres of the trail pass over boardwalks through the marshland. A small observation tower in the southern part of Tinglev Mose offers views of the wildlife. All five hiking trails in Tinglev start at the bicycle shelter by Tinglev Midt, north of the library; they vary in length. Tinglev Church was built around 1100 and has a winged altarpiece from the 16th century. Cultural life in Tinglev includes both Danish and German associations.
