This created a 50-metre-wide and 15-metre-high ravine that divided Lønstrup into two parts. One of the town’s landmarks is the signal mast; in the past, it was used to warn fishermen at sea of severe weather.

Lønstrup Church was inaugurated in 1928, and its tower reached its full height in 1939. Inside the church stands the old Romanesque granite baptismal font from Mårup Church, which contains a German baptismal basin from 1575.
