Ahl Hage and the Natural Area at Ebeltoft Vig

Ahl Hage is a sand spit with shallow water. A Yellow Dot Route runs through Ahl Hage along these shallow waters. At Ahl Beach, the seabed consists of sand, clay, stones and seagrass. The seabed is suitable there for snorkelling and small underwater discoveries.

The northwestern boundary of the Ebeltoft Vig wildlife reserve runs from the tip of Ahl Hage to the mouth of the Vibækken. The wildlife reserve protects Ebeltoft Vig as a resting area for waterbirds. In the area around Ahl, the protected part of Ebeltoft Vig serves year-round as a resting place for flocks of mute swans, mallards and gulls.
