Anholt: Nature, Dunes and Island Experiences

Seals at Totten can be observed from binocular distance from an observation house next to Anholt Fyr; powerful binoculars are available there free of charge. Museum, Literature and Experiences for Different Age Groups

The Anholt Museum presents changing exhibitions featuring old household items, photographs, tools, traditional costumes and other objects. An exhibition on the Stone Age covers the changing Stone Age cultures on Anholt: from the hunter-gatherer Stone Age, when the area was still connected to Jutland, to later flint knappers and seafaring peoples of the subsequent farming Stone Age. During the summer season, the museum organises one or two guided town tours per week. They begin at the museum at 10 a.m. and last around two hours.

The Anholt Litteraturfestival also adds a cultural accent, bringing new Danish literature together with Swedish, Norwegian, Faroese, Greenlandic, Finnish and Icelandic literature. Families with children aged 3 to 9 can enjoy an interactive, child-friendly Natureventyr route at Nordbjerg. This allows visitors to shape their stay according to age and interests, balancing nature, history and shared discovery.
