Rtyně Nad Bílinou: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rtyně nad Bílinou offers striking evidence of Baroque architecture, medieval architectural history, and a diverse surrounding area within a compact thematic space. The Church of St. Martin is a single-nave Baroque church with a recessed presbytery dating from the second half of the 17th century.

Culture and History

On 16 April 1945, 16 Jewish female prisoners were buried in the cemetery of Rtyně nad Bílinou. The Paradies site is a castle or hillfort site dating from the 15th century on Chotyně Hill south of Rtyně nad Bílinou. The remains on Chotyně are associated with Paradies Castle, which was probably built there at the beginning of the 15th century. Traces of the original buildings and a ditch on the southern side of the hill are visible at the site.

The named sites of Sukoslav and Kysperk Castle, which are considered ruins, Střekov Castle, which is considered a castle, and Oltářík Castle, which is considered a ruin, are also located in the surroundings of Rtyně nad Bílinou.

Landscape

The surrounding area is also characterized by named landscape features: Milešovka, Kloc, Glaberův vrch, and Lhota, each of which is considered a mountain, are located here.

Events

The Rtyňské slavnosti are documented through several dated editions. The 22nd Rtyňské slavnosti were scheduled for Saturday, 27 June 2026, and the 21st Rtyňské slavnosti for Saturday, 29 June 2024. On Saturday, 1 July 2023, the Rtyňské slavnosti were held as an anniversary event marking the 20th edition and the municipality’s 690th anniversary, covering the period from 1333 to 2023, after a three-year hiatus.
