Libouchec: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Between the cemetery wall gate and the church steps stands the Baroque Calvary group “Kalvárie”, dating from 1728.

Nature

“Libouchecké rybníčky” is one of the most important amphibian spawning grounds in the Labské pískovce Protected Landscape Area. The nature reserve of the same name protects populations of rare and endangered fish species; more than 20 species of dragonfly can also be found there. It comprises a wet alder forest with a diverse amphibian community.

The Klíšský potok stream rises in Libouchec at an elevation of 447 m and branches off there from the Jílovský potok via an artificial watershed, known as a bifurcation, forming a smaller tributary.

Culture and History

The late Gothic Church of the Three Kings, “Kostel sv. Tří králů”, in Libouchec stands within a historic cemetery complex. It is accessed via a straight Baroque staircase that climbs the hillside above the main road running through Libouchec.

The Art Nouveau chapel of the Botschen family, “Kaple rodiny Botschen”, is situated on a wooded hill near Libouchec and dates from the end of the 19th century. From the cemetery in Libouchec, it can be reached via the road to Tisá and then along a footpath approximately 300 m long.

Guided tours of Zámek Libouchec present the architectural and historical development of the Libouchec chateau complex.

Activities

At the public golf course of Golf Club Libouchec, visitors can try golf and learn under the guidance of specialists. Libouchec also offers the municipal puzzle excursion “Výlet s tajenkou”.
