Distinctive Location
Milešický prales is fenced off because it is located within a deer enclosure. The upper part of the Milešice settlement is also now behind the fence of a game enclosure and is permanently uninhabited.
Cycling
A road cycling circuit passes through Milešice. The “Na Šumavě kolem Zlaté stezky” cycling tour is a circuit and runs through the village along the Volary–Zbytiny–Mlynařovice–Milešice–Kubrna–Kaplice–Lenora–Soumarský Most–Volary route.
The road cycling circuit includes a 7.5 km-long climb with more than 500 metres of elevation gain to the saddle below Bobík.
History
Milešice is mentioned as a settlement in the mid-14th century. Gold was once panned in Milešice.
